Happy Birthday, PEYTON!

It's so hard t0 believe that you're already two. It seems like just yesterday when we celebrated your first birthday. I love this picture of you with KaiKai, it just shows what a great big brother you are going to make very soon.
This is you last Halloween. I just loved how cute you looked in you costume.

I think the thing I will remember most about your first year is the way you always acted like you never were fed!!! You could never get anything is your mouth fast enough, we always had to keep a close eye on you to you wouldn't stuff too much and choke. I remember you following your mama around the kitchen, crawling as fast as you could crying your little eyes out while she fixed you something to eat - - to funny.Little man we wish you a happy birthday, and a very blessed second year!
We love you PJ.

Happy Birthday, KAI

It's so hard to believe you are already one year old. I still remember when your mama was that old. Don't tell her but she was never this cool. Look at you with your daddy, you've gotten so big since then, and your hair has grown some too.
You had so much fun in your jumper, it was one of your mama's favorites too.

Speaking of your mama, here she is with her boy.

Look at that big smile. You're such a happy boy.
Meemaw's little stud muffin is sure growing up fast!!!
You so love your bath time. It was so fun to watch you as your mama would start the bath water and your little legs and arms would start going and you would make so many happy noises. Here you are with your grampa 'cow', Uncle Kevin was kind enough to share him with you for a few minutes.

One of few times I got to cuddle with you while you slept. Your mama thought you should be put in your crib to sleep, I on the other hand thought you should be snuggling with your meemaw.
Happy Birthday KAI! 'm so happy to be your meemaw and so very proud of you. I'm very excited about the time I'm going to be spending with you this year. I can hardly wait to see your reaction to Walt Disney World, the characters, fireworks and parades. It's going to be so much fun, I hope you enjoy your self as much as I will. Then I get to come back in August and take care of you and your sister for a week, while mama and dada go to work.
Have a great day and I'll see you on Friday if you are still awake, if not on Saturday morning.
WE LOVE YOU!
MEEMAW, GRAMPA 'COW',

A Night to Shine

And shine they did! Last year the Down Syndrome of Southern Nevada put on a prom for all the people with Down syndrome, this year it was bigger and better as several organizations came together to support all people with developmental disabilities. They started off by meeting at the DSOSN office to be driven to the M resort and casino in limos. Once they arrived at the casino the were greeted by their escorts and ushered from station to station. The guys checked in then got their shoes shined by some of the UNLV Rebels football team, then off to get their boutonnieres, once they had them on they proceed to get their picture taken. They chose who they wanted their pictures taken with, their escorts, UNLV football player, UNLV cheerleader or their date or friend. Since Kevin didn't take a date to this event he chose a football player, oh yeah. For those of you who are wondering the girls did everything the guys did except instead of a shoe shining they got their hair and make up done. Once that was all done they went on to the red carpet and what a thrill that was for everyone!!!! First they are interviewed and asked questions about what they like what designer they are wearing etc., then they are announced and down the red carpet they go to great all their adoring fans and of course the paparazzi. Kevin stopped to sign several autographs and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. After that they are greeted by Las Vegas show girls, then it is off to have some dinner and dance the night away. They had a parents room set up with snacks and a place where you could watch your child have a great time without them ever knowing you were watching however, they were in such great hand that Sarah's mom Cindy, and I went to have our own dinner and do a wee bit of gambling. What an awesome evening for everyone.Kevin with his friends Tina, Sabrina and Sarah

In the limo it was very cool

The next Oscar Goodman (for those of you who don't know, Oscar is the mayor of LV and he always seems to have a show girl on each arm).

I snuck in to get a picture towards the end of the dance. Kevin promptly told me I could go back to where ever I had came from.

Here is what the kids walked thru to get to the prom.
More to come on Kevin's blog, also tomorrow I will hopefully have up the video of the walk down the red carpet.

People First of Southern Nevada invited the Life Long Dreams team to Reno to perform at their conference last month. This is Kevin eating his breakfast one morning. Kevin and Michael on the plane, this was Michael's first flight and he did a lot better than I did!!The man in the black hat is Alex. Alex is Kevin's new best friend, as Alex was the one to deliver the news to Kevin that his wallet had been found.

More pictures of the guys.

All Dressed Up . . .

. . . with some place to go! Friday night was the AFJRROTC awards dinner for Kevin's School. You all know this young man was very excited to get to go to Nellis once again, of course he's excited every time he gets to put on his button down jacket. Doesn't he look handsome? I thought we all dressed up well so here are some more picture's.Look, Calvin had to go get a new suit, since he stopped smoking he has gained a lot of inches!
Here we all are, as you know it's not often that we all dress up, or that I stand in front of the camera (I prefer standing behind it). We did have a great evening. The food was great and Kevin was thrilled to be there. I can't remember what awards he won but, as soon as I figure it out I'll let you all know.
