Part 2 of Park Day oh Boy

After all our fun at the park we headed on out to Kathy and Ross' for some great times with family, some pizza and some horse rides. Kathy and Calvin are cousins, born just one week apart. It was nice to see Lil and Ken (Kathy's parent's) there also. I think the kids all had a fantastic time there as Kathy and Ross are just real nice, down to earth people. There were lot's of running for the kids to do at last in their big yard and they have a great dog too. Just nice for them to be out of the hotel room and not at such a public place where they could just do their own thing.
Here is a picture of Kathy and Ross with one of their horse's.Little miss enjoying a cracker.Kai, drinking out of a mason jar (Nicole liked it so I got a pic) with a little help from his daddy.
Nicole and Isa, talking about the horse's. Isa was so excited to see them, feed them, touch them and of course get to ride one.
Kevin on the horse. He so enjoyed this, he used to ride at least once a week when we lived in WA. I think I'll see about getting him back into it here. It seemed to be something he misses, all the way home all he wanted was to be a cowboy and get the boots, shirt and hat that goes with all that.
The grand kids with the horses.
Calvin, Kathy and Kai.
Jessica and Kevin.Thank you so much for all you hospitality, Kathy and Ross. It was so much fun getting together with you all again. We know your week had been a bet hectic, to say the least and we are so lucky you were able to fit us it. Hopefully it won't be as long until our next get together. You all know that Vegas is a lot of fun too don't you? Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

A Day in the Park

One of the days we were in Sarnia we ended up at this very family fun park. It was so nice that everyone had something they enjoyed doing here. For starters this is Tyler, he likes to do the biking hopefully not getting hurt type. I remember when Trevor used to do this, always coming home broken and bloody. Here's hoping Tyler is much less daring (I don't think so but for his mama's sake I hope so).

Here are the ones not interested in busting up themselves by falling from bikes (they prefer falling off bars and such). Isa and Kevin loved the sliding bar swing. Michael and Kai liked the cars.
See my girl down there, the one we always seemed to be putting band aides on her knees.
The adults hanging out posing for pictures and watching little ones.
Calvin, Jim and Carol in the bigger picture.

Nicole and Mark.

Off to the splash park. You can see Kai liked it alright.

You should be able to click on the pictures to enlarge them.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to finish up the day with pictures from the end of our day with Kathy and Ross and the next day should be of our day with Laurie and Fred. So keep checking back. One day I hope to have all the trip documented.

We Say Good-bye to Little Kitty

Yesterday we had to put Little Kitty to sleep. She hadn't acted "right" since we returned from our trip. This in itself is not unusual, as they(the cats) don't like it when we leave and it takes them about a week to return to "normal". Yesterday she just laid around. When the dog came in she let him jump right over her and never even moved, That is odd for the cat. So we brought her downstairs and tried to get her to be happy and respond, she just didn't do it to our satisfaction. We decided this was more than a pout and took her to the vet.
The vet's best guess was some sort of stomach cancer. She felt the cat was suffering, so we decided to just have her be free of pain. Black Cat is wondering around today, not sure what to make of the little one being gone. We will miss her, or at least I will. For a cat she was awesome!

We are in Indiana

We started our day at the Indiana Dunes State Park. Kai thought he'd like to do a few chin ups on the stroller, so here's the man showing off his stuff. We met up with Isa's foster brother from Guatemala there for the morning/afternoon. It was great to met them at last and the reunion for the mama's was fun also. I'm sorry this is so long, but the kiddo's were soooo cute I couldn't make up my mind~~so a choose a lot. This is Ashley, Sam and Joe's mama. The next few pictures are all by Lake Michigan.

Kevin sees a sailboat on the lake.

This is one of my favorite shots. It amazes me how he is so hesitant to go in a pool, yet we had to drag him out of chest deep water at the lake with big waves, go figure.

Everyone had fun in the sand, Isa, Michael, Kevin and Kai.

That's Sam in this one.

Uncle Kevin gives Kai a helping hand.

Sam digging deep.

Dan, Sam and Joe's dad, helping Sam get some sand out of his mouth.

This is the big dune we hiked up. It is much steeper than it looks.

Views from the top.

The climb up.

The walk/roll down on the other side.

Kevin is such a good Uncle.

Kai getting sand washed out of his mouth.

Enjoying a snack on the beach.

Sam,Joe and Isa enjoying a snack also.
Having some lunch at Bob Evan's. Did you know he was a friend of Mark's? Ask him about it some time.

Joe is so cute and Michael looks so angelic.
Sam was a little pickle, not wanting to get his picture taken. I think this one turned out OK.
The three boys showing off their colorful, twisty straws.
What a couple of love bugs.
The mama's with their youngest as their older children were done for the day.
It was fun for me to get to meet Sam and his family, and hope to see them again one day. Maybe Sam will realize how much everyone would like to have a picture of his handsome face and want tons of pictures taken. One can always hope.
