Brothers

Looks like I need to get busy blogging! I thought I'd posted our December trip to WA, wrong.
So I'll start with the boy's, since we didn't see the other two until Monday. There are lot's of Grace that will be done soon. Here's our Michael, being Michael.Case and Peyton, wrestling and having fun, like all brothers do.

It was a lot of fun for us to just sit back and watch them all being silly.

Good Morning

Thought I'd share a couple of pictures of the hotel. Kevin and I went out walking this morning to kill some time. we can't get into the park until 10.

He's happy here, he thinks we are going to the park.
not so happy in the one with the red flowers, as he finally understands we have to wait!

This Ones for you Mark

Well I've been told by someone(I'll not use names) that I've not been a very good blogger lately.
After looking at the date of my last post I'll have to agree. Here are some fond memories I have of the last time i was in Bellingham. Before we left for Bellingham I received a phone call from Casey, he wanted to know if I would take him for a hair cut while I was in town. I said sure and his mama got on the phone. It seems that in Casey mind I'm the only one that can do this properly! I guess I should stay away for awhile and see how long his hair gets.
Now a challenge to the one (not mentioning any names) let's see if we can both do better and post every day until the end of March. . . ready set go!

More Christmas

One last present for Kevin. He loves these basketball games, so we decided to go ahead and get him one. He does love it! Poor Leroy, can't say the same for him. He's just not understanding why Kevin won't throw these balls for him.
Studying the shot.
Look at that form!!

OK Mark, Kevin is ready for you. He says you're going down. Come on Michael, Casey and Peyton, Uncle Kevin will spot you guys a couple points.

Enjoy the video's and I'll post more later today as we are home this afternoon. Merry Christmas.

Kevin's Decorating Job

Every year I have Kevin take out all the stuffed animals we have collected over the years and place them on the stairs. This year was know different and he was happy to have this job. First he has to get them out of the bags.Next he has to decide which stair each one will be on.
He trys very hard to out smart Douglas the Singing Tree. It's motion activated, he did manage to sneak past once.
This is the second half of the stairs. This year some of the stuffies even ended up on the couch and a couple of chairs as the collection has really grown.

Awesome Cousin

While in Bellingham, we took the grandkids to Fun Zone. It has several inflatable bounce structures. Everyone had fun, however poor Kai was just a little young to be able to do all activities. No worries! Cousin Casey to the rescue. Look at that boy. He got right behind Kai and figured out on his own the best way to help him up. See his knee? It's right on Kai's rear end. That stopped Kai from sliding all the way down. Way to problem solve Casey.Slow and steady. Casey never got inpatient with him he just stuck in there encouraging Kai to keep going. I think that's pretty darned good for a four-year-old.
So exciting almost to the top! Go Kai, go Caseman!
A little push up with the hand this time.
OH NO! Kai started to slip just as they were almost at the top. Down he went, that was know good. Poor guy, had a bit of a frustration melt down at the bottom.
But look at him! Going to give it another try. That's my boy, so proud of your determination Kai, you should go very far in this world of ours.

Halloween Party

Last night we attended a Halloween party that some friends were having. The kids went trick-or-treating with the dads while the mom's stayed back and chatted and ate some awesome food!
Here is a shot of Jack (AKA Kevin) with Katherine and Megan.
The whole group getting ready to head on out for some treats.
Some dancing fun after all the trick or treating.
These kids really like to show their stuff.

Lovin' Vegas Baby

Today the weather person told us we better be prepared for a "cooling trend". Said we better get our sweaters out of the closet's. I'm thinking, huh? It was in the 90's yesterday. These crazy weather people never get anything rights!

I couldn't believe my eye's today! There were people out in their sweaters and hoodies and jackets.
Yes. It was cooler. However I don't feel the need to put on a sweater when the thermometer reads 78. Unbelievable!
Only in Vegas.

Boys Will Always be Boys

Mark came. He worked. He did work hard, two bedrooms have new flooring in 3 1/2 days! Plus he made a very nice shelf in the women's room. Many of you may be asking hmmm, what's a women's room? Well, it's for me. Yes me, just me. Well I guess I'm letting Kevin in once in a while to play Wii. But I'm going to have a chair and a lamp and a door that I can close whenever I want to read a book. I can also close the door and do my scrapbooking, also when I get interrupted I can just leave it and come back to it later. So any ways here is Mark putting in the shelving for the TV and Wii (it's Calvin's job to finish up shelf's for my supplies). Here is Calvin tacking the extension cord to the wall so it stays well out of the way (he's seen me almost throw the computer out b/c of cords).

The TV in it's place with the Wii waiting to be plugged in. Over on the far side (you can see them if you look real hard) is a place for several games.
Here is the new game to try out with Mark!
There it is all set up just waiting for a good competition between BIL.
Kevin's excitement when Mark showed him the room!!!
Seeing the game for the first time.
Doesn't Mark look thrilled? I think he prefers the real thing.
Look at this sitting down to cast a line. Who fishes like this?
Mark decided it might be easier if he did stand up. He was having a hard time trying to figure out how to cast the line.
He gave it to Kevin to hold onto while he read the directions (what a concept - directions)
Mark reading directions, Kevin has already figured it out and is fishing!! See the stumped look on Mark's face?
Mark takes the rod back and still can't figure it out. Notice how he hold the book of directions and the rod? Doesn't want Kevin to catch more than him now does he?
Mark giving it another try.
Oh do you see the C0ke on the shelf? There is a no taking any thing except water upstairs to drink rule. Tonight Mark told Kevin it was OK because he'd keep an eye on it so it wouldn't spill!! Needless to say Isa and Kaikai, I'm thinking of lot's of rules we can break next time I visit.

So the boys are making a lot of noise so I went up to see if they'd figured the fishing out yet. Nope but they sure were having fun bowling. So I guess if at first you don't succeed just go to an easier game!

Havin' Some Fun in the Sun

So, after the hard work of decorating the stars, the kids decided it was time for some fun. Off to the Trampoline they went, I love the look on Andy's face in this shot!
Sabrina, really caught some air here. Kevin thinks it's just great.
Everyone having fun and being silly.
Next it was time for a dip in the pool. Yes, to all you snowed in people in WA, it's March and the kids are in the pool here! Don't you wish you where here? Now the whole group is in the hot tub. What a day they had, decorating, jumping on the trampoline, swimming and tubing ~ ~ oh, I almost forgot pizza for lunch.

Building a Bear 101

We always try to do one special outing, one on one with each grandkid while in WA. This is Peyton's outing, first stop was to get something to eat at the food court. This little guy is always happy if food is involved! Waiting as patiently as an 18 month old can.
Next stop Build A Bear. He picked out his bear fairly quickly. Think he thought he'd shot it as it looked already skinned. But most importantly he found a construction hat, that was far better than any 'ol bear. I truly believe we could have just gotten him the hat and he would have been happy.

Doesn't fit very well, but he still had to have it.Oh boy, it's now time to step on the pedal that will fill his bear up! Had enough of this waiting around, come on lady let's get this show on the road.
Next we pick out a heart, give it a kiss, make a wish and place it in the bear.

.

Sewing it up so it will stay stuffed.
We pay for it then put it in it's house and head on home. It's his bear so he had to carry it thru the mall. I think the box is bigger than Peyt.
Proud owner of a new stuffed animal.
