Stars are Born

Today was a very exciting day! The group Kevin has joined, Life Long Dreams, had the opportunity to sing a verse on a local entertainers, Phil Flowers, new CD.
First off they praticed the two lines which are:
Help is on the way
We will start today
To lend a helping hand and doing what we can,
There is more to the verse, but this is what they focused on.
They sang it with the kids/young adults for about an hour, here is Kevin and another girl from the group working hard. Then they took a little break by going outside to pose for pictures on the staircase. They also took some film footage of the group singing the lines only. This will be used in the perforance next month, we will also all be getting a copy (so if you all are lucky I'll share).

Here is Kevin with one of the background singers. Here is the group in the recording studio. It was so awesome for the group to be given this opportunity. Here they all are singing their little hearts out!Just a group shot. Here they are hamming it up with the audio guy, Steve, that's not his offical title but it's late and my brain is mush.
Kevin with Phil, giving him a big thank you hug!!
Like I said early this was an awesome experience for all.
There is going to be more performing, an interview for a local magize and lot's of happy people I'm sure!
I'll keep you posted, when we get the CD I'll try to hook the song up to the blog - - wish me luck on that one.
Check Kevin's blog tomorrow for his pictures.

Some Ice Cream Fun

Kevin getting ice cream with the group.Isa having fun with it too.
Grandpa/dad, Kevin and Isa.
Isa feeding her mama, I love how her (Isa) mouth is wide open as if taking the bite for mama.
Grandma and Kai were waiting at home, we'd taken Kai for pictures early in the day and Isa was feeling very jealous so we thought some just mama time would do her good and it did.
I have a picture of Kai watching the races while they were gone, however the picture is lost in computer land so I will post it if I ever find it.

Isa and Uncle Trevor

While at our house, Isa quickly discovered the favorite chair, as soon as one person gets up another sits down very quickly. She was a little faster than Uncle Trevor this time so he just sat on her! Notice she's not giving up her chair. Not very often we get a picture of Trevor smiling.

More Aliante Park

Kai having sweet dreams at the park. Mama and Kai.
Kevin waiting for Isa, not too patiently. I think she might be a race car driver, she didn't want to leave the steering wheel.Kevin and Isa getting ready to go down the slide. I think it looks like Uncle Kevin might be giving her a little push.Rough landing, she did go back for more.

Day at the Water Park

On the grand kid's last day here, we went to the water park. Isa and Kevin enjoyed themselves while meemaw and Kai sat in the shade and watched.
Taking their time and checking things out.Kevin takes charge and picks Isa up to run through. They made it, soaked and cool, but they made it.
Isa really enjoyed it and Kevin just likes being in charge so he enjoyed the opportunity to pick her up and "force" her in.

I just really liked this picture of the little miss. Picture's courtsey of Coley

Are They There Yet????

Well, seems Nicole, will never have an uneventful trip again. We arrived at the airport early, we thought we'd eat lunch there so the little one (Isa) would be happy and content on the plane. We arrive at the ticketing counter, Nicole walks up and says she's going to Bellingham, the ticketing agent says well your flight isn't leaving until 5:20, Nicole replies don't tell me that I'll cry!! Ticketing agent replies well that's the time it will be leaving . . . Nicole starts crying. I on the other hand am trying to decide if I should grab my camera and take a picture or shove one of Kai's paci's in her mouth, I decide to do neither. The agent offers her vouchers for food which seems to perk her up some then calls to see for sure how late the plane will be . . . oh, it will be in at 2:10 YEAH! So off to security we go, I'll let Nicole tell you that story as I have pictures to get too!!!!
What to do while in an airport waiting eat!!
Isa enjoyed the french fries we got with the vouchers, Hamburgers also. Then it was time for a little cat nap. Then meemaw took Isa to look around the airport, first we played on the rabbit,
then the scorpion

sitting on his tail,
then we climbed up the snake,
then the lizard. This was her favorite b/c it was like a rock wall and made the climbing much easier.
Then we rode the moving sidewalk and several escalators.

More of Kai.

Saying good-bye. Meemaw is already missing you Isa, hurry back OK? Oh, bonus of the day, we got lunch compliments of the airline:0)

A Day at the Grand Prix

Took the kids to the Grand Prix today, what a disappointment to find out Isa is not tall enough to ride most of the rides. She needs to be 36 inches and she is only 32, at this rate I think she'll be 21 and able to gamble before she is tall enough to ride! They had a good time any ways, they both really enjoyed the games inside and the prizes
