Outside Decorating

Last week we put up some decorations outside. Kevin thought it was great putting ornaments on the trees outside. He knew exactly where each one was going to go. Kevin posing with his daddy (think he might need to shave?).
Here is a picture of Kevin with Toy Tory after the tree is finished.
Hope everyone else is done decorating!!

Kevin's Decorating Job

Every year I have Kevin take out all the stuffed animals we have collected over the years and place them on the stairs. This year was know different and he was happy to have this job. First he has to get them out of the bags.Next he has to decide which stair each one will be on.
He trys very hard to out smart Douglas the Singing Tree. It's motion activated, he did manage to sneak past once.
This is the second half of the stairs. This year some of the stuffies even ended up on the couch and a couple of chairs as the collection has really grown.

A New Ornament

Every year that our children lived at home I would try to get them a new Christmas ornament. The ornaments I purchased were usually of something exciting they'd done, trip to Disney, Skiing for the first time, playing basketball. Sometimes it was of a favorite item such as a Rainbow Brite doll, TMNT turtles in a half shell, or a movie they'd really liked. This year Kevin got a HSM3 one that is musical and a Toy Story one. Then what to get Trevor. Now technically he does not live at home, I imagine he will for a short time at some other time. What should I get him that would show how his year was spent, hmmm. . . . Well have a gander at what I spotted at the Hallmark store. You can click on it to see all the fine detail.Isn't it nice there is a tree upstairs? Notice what is downstairs in the left corner . . .
MERRY CHRISTMAS
TREVOR

Gingerbread Girl

While in WA last month,I had the honor of helping Michael with his class project. We had to decorate a gingerbread person. Isa got in on the action also. We needed to decide what materials would be needed. Michael decided on crayons, felts, buttons and some ribbon as this was to be a girl.

Look at those fine motor skills at work!
Auntie couldn't be left out, so she joined in also.
Putting sticky stuff on to hold on her "hair".
Peyton wanted to model the ribbon for her hair before we attached it. I must say he'd make a cute little girl.

It's That Time of Year

Friday I started by assembling the tree. Saturday we got around to getting out and putting on the lights and a few ornaments. Today finally after the marathon we were able to finish decorating the tree. Here are a few shots of Kevin making sure the hanger is just right before hanging it up. This year he seemed to really take his time to find just the perfect place for each ornament.

Hannah Montana's ornament is his favorite this year. It sings the "Best of Both World's".
I thought I'd be a really fantastic wife this year and get Calvin what he's always wanted . . .
a Harley Davidson!
I thought it was a great idea. It would also show what a wonderful wife I was, listening to all my husbands wants and then purchasing one of them.
Here's Calvin asking Kevin how they are both going to ride the thing . . .
hmmm, I guess I didn't get quite the right one (maybe next year).

Here is my new ornament for the year. When I seen it I just had to have it. It sings "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" performed by Gayla Peevey. I believe it's a song from the 40's and just really cute.
