Meemaw/Grandma Went Shopping

Today was Nevada Day, so Kevin had no school. So first thing this morning Calvin took him and headed to the mall to get batteries in their watches and some of mom's jewelry cleaned. Of course to Kevin you don't really go to the mall until you've gone to the Disney Store and petted the cute puppies. They did get that done and still had time to kill while waiting for the jewelry to be cleaned so they did some more "shopping".

When they arrived home the first thing I heard from Calvin was you know that store, the one that has all the kids clothes, you know the one down the stairs by that other store? Yep, I should be able to figure that one out! You know the one were you went to get that dress for Heather, the one where you got that hat too. Oh, you mean Gymboree? Yes, that's the one that's downstairs (along with how many other stores?) and has all the kids clothes. Well they are having a 60% off sale, to you want to go check it out? So back to the mall we went. These are the adorable outfits Miss Grace E. will be receiving some time in the future. The overalls are a soft cord. with little hearts on them and the dress is a sweater dress that I thought was to sweet to pass up!!
Now Miss Isa Mags here is your shirt. A dog will have to do as I couldn't find anything with a horse on it. You will look gorgeous in it so why does it really matter what's on the front any ways. So there you have it an afternoon well spent.
Sorry boys, Uncle Kevin tried really hard to find you something but, they just didn't have much for boys, DARN IT! Maybe next time.

Poor Boy

This picture says it all. Kevin has been bitten by the flu bug, which one who knows, but he is miserable. Temp was 100.5 when he went to bed tonight. Time will tell how well he is going to sleep. He is a pooping and pooking. He is terrible sad as he is missing LLD tomorrow and we all know how much he loves that. Don't tell him (he didn't know) but he is also going to miss two performances. He would be heartbroken if he knew, as he loves nothin' better than to be on a stage!! Hoping for a speedy recovery and back to school on Monday (he's been home since Thursday).

He's trying to be cool here. And yes Nicole, he's in his tighty whitey's and I managed not to show them this time!

The Cutest Couple EVER!

Today we took Kevin and Sara bowling. All I got to say is they are so darned CUTE!
This is the first time "the mom's" didn't go together to take them. I think that made it a little more exciting for them. Also the fact that there wasn't a big crowd and dark inside (prom) made me very comfortable letting them walk a distance from us. On the way to bowling they just kept looking at each other and giggling. Then when we got to the casino I had to remind Kevin to slow down and walk with Sara, other than that they were together all the time and did I mention so darned CUTE!

We started off without the bumpers, that was frustrating for Sara so decided to put the bumpers down. The picture in the top left is her after her first turn of bumpers being down. Cute I tell you. The two pic's on the left is of Sara and Kevin cheering each other on. They would chant "go Sara, or go Kevin" over until the pins fell. What great friends.

Now I've said it before but, aren't they the CUTEST? I just love our kids they are AWESOME! (CUTE too)
Oh I've got to tell you about the conversation after we dropped Sara off.
Kevin: Mom I love Sara
Mom: Yes Kevin Sara is a great friend
Kevin: Mom Sara is a true friend

Did I mention our kids are Awesome?
We did a great job with them Cindy (if I do say so myself).

A New Toy For ME!!

A couple of days ago I was at Costco and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but something I've wanted for years and years!

Now I could have tried to explain it to Cal again, however I done that for several years and I do have a couple of very nice point and snaps to show for it. I however have wanted one of these and joy of joys ~ ~ it was on sale!! And calling my name!!!

So I'll apologize to those of you I haven't already gotten Christmas presents for (that money went to the new toy).

Hopefully you wont hold a grudge for too long and will forgive me (but if you don't oh well I have a new toy).Now I've only had it for a few hours and I've had to wait for the batteries to charge but, here are a few pictures out of the hundreds I've taken. I'll watch the DVD and read more of the book over the weekend. I just had to play with it and Kevin was more that willing to be my practice.

Really going at it. I had to practice the moving shots as I've been very disappointed with my pictures with movement in them. These in my oppinion are decent since I didn't read any instructions.

I'm having fun so far and am pleased with my purchase. Kevin attended a Halloween party tonight and either he or I will post pictures of that tomorrow.

I can hardly wait to get to Bellingham and get some good shots of all the grandkids. So have all your cheeses ready!!!

Absolutely unbelievable!!

Here we are ma and pa away for the weekend, while Kevin remains home with a friend. What do you think our conversations are about?? Well let me tell you, they go something like this. . .

me: were would you like to eat tonight

Calvin: oh I don't know. Do you think Kevin has gone to eat yet? Do you think he had a cheeseburger, french fries and coke a cola?

me: hmmm, probably. Where do WE want to eat and WHAT do we want to eat?

Calvin: oh look there's a hamburger joint, Kevin would like that

me: yep. But I really don't care what Kevin would like!! What do WE want??

Calvin: oh look, is that a roller coaster? Kevin would love that.

me: yep but this isn't about Kevin.

Calvin: what do you think the boy is doing about now?

me: **sigh** do you just want to go home????

Still Searching

Tonight, Calvin thought he'd finally found it. After all it did say authentic. After what we were planning to do fell through, we decided to make an early night of it and head back to the hotel. We thought we'd stop by and give it a try, it did say authentic. So after navigating our way back thru unfamiliar streets, we found it again and went in. We didn't need to look at the menu as we knew what we wanted that was for sure. After deciding on a drink and a couple of sides we took the plunge and ordered . . .authentic London style fish and chips. Um, yeah, authentic. Now don't get me wrong they were good, however I'm pretty sure these are the ones we get at Costco in a box, frozen. The box says authentic also. I guess we'll just have to keep searching.The deep fried zuc's were awesome and made the stop worth it for me!

Fun With Pictures

Nicole did a post the other day, about textures and pictures. She inspired me. So I've been playing with a program that I had forgotten about. The thing that I really like is this picture of Peyt is a little out of focus, with some texture you can make it look so much better.This picture is a moving picture that has Isa way out of focus. When I added some dots it kinda looks ok.
