Calvin, getting his stuffin' out of the birdThe bird, isn't she pretty?
Kevin taking pic's

Calvin and John, in their "Cracker" hats. The funny this was after the picture's were taken, Calvin and John were the only ones who continued to wear the hats!

Catherine and Kevin

John and Catherine

John and Catherine brought some Christmas Crackers with them (yes, we know it's not Christmas yet) and we popped them before eating. It was fun to see what they had inside and read the jokes and trivia. Of course they are a European tradition so John had to explain some of the jokes to us . . .

Annual Santa Run

Today was a local charities annual Santa run. Kevin's friend, Catherine, was running so we went to support her and of course to have a good time! Our city's mayor was there with his show girls! Kevin and the mayor are pals now ya know, Kevin did get to go up to his office and meet him last year.

Some of the sea of Santa's, it probably took five minutes for them all to get going! They did it again . . . broke the record for the most Santa's in one place.
Kevin found some cute girls to sing Christmas songs with while waiting on Catherine to come around.
The finish line AKA another sea of Santa's.

Found SDCard

When you wake up early on a Sunday morning what do ya do?? Go to the beach!!
Not that the card was really lost, I just forgot about the other camera! So this is from out trip to Santa Monica in October. What a better place to make a phone call to dad, than the beach. Kevin really wanted his picture taken with the life guard shack.
There was a big picture similar to this in our room. It of course did not have the homeless person sleeping beneath it, I thought it might be rude to wake them.

The park, across the street from the hotel we stayed at.
The view from our hotel.
After a nice early morning on the beach you need a great breakfast at a wonderful restaurant.

Kevin's breakfast, complete with fresh squeezed orange juice!

More Trip Photo's

Geno is just a super nice man, here he is introducing the kids to some people in the park that he knew. Kevin was all over that!
Kevin and Catherine outside of the magic shop. They are watching the wheel spin for 30 seconds then you look at your hands and see wiggly things all over it.
Grumpy again! This trip he knew what he wanted and when he wanted it and that was how it was going to be. The only problem was Lisette and I knew how much walking we were willing to do and running from one end of the park to the other wasn't going to work, Grumpy wasn't happy.

The Brair Bears messing with Catherine. She really thought this was funny.

Kevin with the bears.
Stay tuned, there may be more random shots coming up in the next day or so.

Another Day

Don't know what's up with blogger ,but it is not doing as it should so this will be short.
Here Kevin is with a witch Minnie, she had just tried to kiss him.

This is the magic store owned by Lisette's friend. He was nice enough to get us tickets into the parks and give Kevin a much desired magic trick and magic wand.

Decorations on Main Street.
Sorry to those of you who want more, but it's been a 14 hour day and I see another long one in my future. That's it for now.

The Third of July

The fourth of July parade was on the third of July, doesn't make sense to me, whatever . . . here are some pictures that should have been posted, I'm sure I didn't post them, if I did I'm sorry for the repeat. I haven't taken time to look because, I didn't want to mess up on my posting every day this month and it's getting close to bedtime!! ;) Kevin on the float, it amazes me how he always surrounds himself with the pretty girls.
After the parade Lisette invited us all over to their place for a swim, Kevin jumps right in!
Again the boy has surrounded himself with pretty girls.

Having Fun in the Sun

As I said before they got here . . . there would be lot's of pool time!! Here they are in Kevin's pool.
The Uncle.
Kevin loves having the kids here, he loves showing off his pool.
Kai is just a floating fool.
After afternoon naps, we headed over to Lisette's for some play in a big pool with steps and a ledge. The kids did a lot better trying out their swimming skills. I think Isa might even be a swimmer when she gets home.

Loving the rings and just hanging in the pool.
Now it's time for some jumping in fun.

Kai tried jumping in once and prefured not to do it any more.

He loved sitting by the fountain and just putting his hand and feet in the stream of water.
Catherine showing us one of her many water skills with the help of her mama, Lisette.

Kai having fun with Lisette in the water.
This is Isa's jump off mama's shoulder's pictures of her standing on mama's shoulder's to come on a later post.

Meeting Mayor Oscar Goodman

Yesterday the Life Long Dream students had the opportunity to meet the mayor of Las Vegas.

One of the parents, Lisette, wrote a letter to Mayor Goodman after President Obama's latest comments about our city. He was so impressed with Lisette's letter that he invited LLD to come and visit.
What a gracious man. He was so genuine and truly happy to meet everyone. We felt so welcome in his office.
Look at that chair he sits in! Everything in his office was amazing along with the stories he share with us about all the people he has met over the years. He shared with the students some of his favorite likes, music, sports and shows on TV.

Telling one of his many stories.A picture with the happiest mayor in the universe!
A group shot.
The mayor gave everyone one of his "gaming chips" ! Kevin is a lot happier about it than he looks. He has been having some nose bleeds since his high flying stunt and we had just finished cleaning him up.
I would just like to say a big thank you Mayor Goodman and everyone in his office!
We felt very welcomed and had a fantastic time.
I would also like to say that every one we passed in the building were as friendly as could be. We were greeted with hello, how are you, can I help you, by everyone we passed.
