Lovin' Vegas Baby

Today the weather person told us we better be prepared for a "cooling trend". Said we better get our sweaters out of the closet's. I'm thinking, huh? It was in the 90's yesterday. These crazy weather people never get anything rights!

I couldn't believe my eye's today! There were people out in their sweaters and hoodies and jackets.
Yes. It was cooler. However I don't feel the need to put on a sweater when the thermometer reads 78. Unbelievable!
Only in Vegas.

What a Mom Won't Do

We sorta waited in this traffic. We had a little line we had to wait in then I remembered this is the UNLV I'm sure if I take this little back way it will put me out on a side street. Well, at least I hope it will. It did! So I figured I saved a good hour. I wasn't sure where I was, but figured if I just went north, sooner or later I'd see something familiar. Guess what? I did, so we got home way sooner than what I thought we would.Look Kevin bumped into his friend, Zach. The guys were happy to see each other.

This is Kevin, getting ready for his surprise to start up. He's one excited young man.
Now this very happy face is what make nights like this worth it. I've never heard so many screaming girls and WOMEN! I'm very serious when I say there were grown women here and they screamed right along with their daughters. I think some of them even dragged their daughters, as they (the daughter's) didn't look to be having a lot of fun. Maybe they were just embarrassed that mom was up singing, dancing and shaking her thang! What ever it was I just stared in amazement. Old women acting as foolish as teenagers - - unbelievable. But then we are in Vegas and we get all the crazies, 'cuz remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
If you're wondering what the surprise is you need to go to Kevin's blog some time tomorrow afternoon.
For those of you who don't have his address it's

This One's For You Nicole

On my way back home, this last trip, I stayed in this room . . .

. . . wasn't it pretty? I think you and Isa could have shared the bed and then look at this great play area. Oh, well. Live and learn. Next time depending on your children's ages we'll need to remember to just get you a king room.

Woody Casket

When Mark arrived to put in the new flooring for us, we had one bedroom cleared out and ready to go for him. Then when it was time to start Kevin's room we hurriedly cleaned it out so Mark could start. Imagine my surprise when I found this box in Kev's closet, hmmm looks like a couple of old Toy Tory's. Upon taking them out of the box I discovered they were his old ones. I guess it was just to hard for him to part with them, so he hid them in this box in the closet.
Here they are for all too see. Now for those of you who don't know Kevin "dances" his Toy Tory's to death. He really doesn't amputate their legs. He loves his Toy Tory. He even colored the one black again, to be just like his pal, Phil Flowers.

Pizza and Swimming

On my recent trip to Bellingham I thought it might be fun to take the g'kids on a little outing to a hotel with a pool, as Casey and Peyton didn't get to have that experience with me this summer. First it might be fun to have a pizza party, here we are at the pizza joint. Look at Casey and Isa when they get together it's fun and games all the way! Here they are with nothing to play with or do, so let's just hold on tight and spin and spin! Here are the four oldest waiting to be served their pizza at Auntie's.
Then off too the hotel for a little fun in the water. This is what Isa looks like jumping into a pool when her meemaw forgot to change the settings. Oh well, and excuse to do it again. Right?
The landing.
Kaikai and his daddy having fun.
Casey seems to love the water.
Peyton and his daddy.
Brian trying to get Michael to jump in, good luck with that.

Kai had no fear he'd just step off the side and someone had better be quick to catch him!!
He's loving it. Look at that smile.
Grandma helped Peyton swipe Isa's tube. Now we're heading back to the steps so Isa can have it back.

Peyton and Brian.
Full of smiles!
One happy family.

I saved the best for last . . .
Michael is FLOATING!! Look at him go, way to float Michael, we are proud of you!
